One of the Church’s greatest geniuses, St. Augustine of Hippo, labored tirelessly in the work of catechism, or teaching the faith to new believers, and teaching it anew to all believers. How did this work as a teacher shape the way Augustine approached his theology? How does it shape our theological and ecclesial heritage today?

On December 7, 2018, the Living Church Institute co-hosted a study day with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Atlanta, to explore these questions and their implications for contemporary Christian life and ministry. Conversations and lectures were led by Dr. Christopher Wells. Saturday’s study day was followed by a capstone sermon on Sunday, preached by Dr. Wells.
