In two issues in May, 1945, The Living Church reported extensively on joyful and solemn observances of V-E Day throughout the Episcopal Church, including at a Milwaukee war products factory. An Episcopal army chaplain also reported on a burial service he conducted the same day for 200 concentration camp victims in Ludwigslust, Germany.
