The Rev. Canon S. Abbot Bailey, the Diocese of Virginia’s interim canon to the ordinary; the Rev. Canon Patrick Collins, the Diocese of Easton’s canon to the ordinary; and the Rev. Matthew Cowden, rector of St. Michael and All Angels’ in South Bend, Indiana will be candidates for election as the Bishop Coadjutor of West Virginia, diocesan officials announced August 2.

The Diocese of Eastern Michigan continues a discernment process about deeper cooperation with neighboring Western Michigan Diocese, electing its bishop Whayne Hoagland, as their bishop provisional. West Virginia bishop Michie Klusmyer calls for the election of a coadjutor.

The Rt. Rev. Mark Van Koevering, Assisting Bishop in West Virginia, is the nominee to become Bishop Provisional of Lexington.

The Rev. Jon M. White of Beckley, West Virginia, will become the new editor of Episcopal Café on November 25.
