A panel of three bishops, a priest and a lay person will decide whether to sanction the Bishop of Albany for refusing to comply with the General Convention's decision to make same-sex marriage rites available in every diocese.
The formal charges mean that Love will face an ecclesiastic trial, open to the public, to determine if he should be penalized for prohibiting same-sex marriages in the Diocese of Albany.
