"We just felt we needed to celebrate what they do,” said Bishop Douglas Fisher, describing the award for journalists from the Diocese of Western Massachusetts.
The church intends to offer resolutions supporting reforms such as universal background checks, limits on the size of magazines and fingerprint verification for purchasers.
