Wyoming Bishop to Retire

The Rt. Rev. John S. Smylie, Bishop of Wyoming since 2010, calls for the election of his successor in September 2020:

After much prayer and reflection I have decided that it is time to call for the election of the 10th Bishop for the Diocese of Wyoming. I have informed the Standing Committee and the Staff and the process for an election is beginning.

… I don’t think it’s time yet for me to reminisce on the joy of these years of service because the fact is we still have a good deal of time together and work to do.
