World Series Wager Ends in Celebration for National Cathedral

Washington National Cathedral’s Gothic façade bore a stylized W in celebration of Wednesday’s World Series victory for the hometown Nationals. Episcopal News Service’s Egan Millard reported that the celebration ended a Twitter-based fan contest between the Cathedral’s staff and the staff of Houston’s Christ Church Cathedral. Houston dean Barkley Thompson will vest in Nationals colors for Sunday’s liturgies, having lost a wager with his DC counterpart.
