Katrina Browne, developer of Sacred Ground: A Film-Based Dialogue Series on Race and Faith, will lead three webinars in the weeks ahead.
Drawing from films and readings, Sacred Ground is a 10-part series that considers some of the major chapters of race and racism in the United States. It invites participants to weave in threads of their personal and family stories, economic class, and political and regional identity.
Browne will guide participants through the online curriculum and resources, including password-protected pages, and will take questions.
The free one-hour program is offered on three dates (all times are EDT): 1 p.m. April 8 (register); 4 p.m. May 6 (register); and 1 p.m. June 11 (register). Space is limited and registration is required.
“More than a teaching tool, Sacred Ground calls us into intentional, sustained circles in which we can pray, watch, share our own stories, reflect, wonder, reckon, heal, and commit to action. Think of it as a pilgrimage in place,” said the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers.
