Volunteers Keep Canterbury Fellowship Alive

The Diocese of Wyoming reports on volunteers who keep the ministry of Canterbury Fellowship active at the University of Wyoming in Laramie:

Charlie DeWolf and Meredith Brose will continue to serve as volunteers with Canterbury Fellowship. Charlie will be the financial administrator, and Meredith will continue to assist with worship at Canterbury. …

A relatively new member of St. Matthew’s has now taken over the facilitator’s role in a volunteer capacity. April French, a Powell native and UW alumna, has recently relocated to Laramie after a 15-year absence to take a position at UW’s College of Health Sciences as a Senior Academic Advising Professional. April has 25 years of experience in ministry to undergraduate and graduate students in Wyoming, Russia, Canada, and Massachusetts. She has a master’s degree in theological studies from Regent College (Vancouver, BC), with an emphasis in the history of Christianity. April continues to work toward a Ph.D. in history from Brandeis University and is writing a dissertation about the everyday life of Protestant women in late Soviet Siberia. She is the editor of the book An Inner Step toward God: The Writings and Teachings of Father Alexander Men on Prayer (Paraclete Press, 2014).

Carma Shoop, the manager of The Cottage, has created a grant-funded, paid internship to support a young adult who will serve both The Cottage and the Canterbury House. The intern (to be hired soon) will assist in the regular cleaning and upkeep of the Canterbury House, which will be a great blessing to the students who regularly use the facility during the week.
