The Hymn Society’s newsletter reports:

The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada seeks hymns and songs related to welcoming refugees and immigrants. Our goal is the compilation of a collection of 30-40 congregational songs. Through The Hymn Society’s website, these will be made available for use in worship without charge.

We invite both published and unpublished submissions in a variety of formats, including (1) texts only, (2) texts with tunes, and (3) lead sheets. These should be sent in PDF or Word format to bbrody@whitworth.edu not later than Friday, March 10. Identifying information will be removed before consideration by the work group. Permissions to include previously published works in this collection will be obtained through arrangements made between HSUSC and publishers.
