Renewing a Covenant at 25

Marking the Jan. 18 opening of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Bishop John Harvey Taylor of the Diocese of Los Angeles, Archbishop Jose Gomez of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and Bishop R. Guy Erwin of the Southwest California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America have renewed a covenant on baptism and cooperative ministries that was inaugurated 25 years ago, on Nov. 21, 1993, by their three predecessors.
