Pass the Fried Pie, Friends

Fried Pies from Episcopal Arkansas on Vimeo.

Communiqué, from the Diocese of Arkansas, reports:

Every day last week, folks at St. Peter’s-on-the-Prairie Episcopal Church in Tollville, Ark., kneaded, rolled, filled, crimped, and fried pies by the hundreds. Chocolate, coconut, apple, apricot, pecan … What started as a small, local fundraiser 35 years ago has grown, and now orders come in from across central Arkansas.

The diocese’s page on Vimeo adds:

Want to try your hand at making fried pies? All of St. Peter’s recipes are in their cookbook, Prairie Harvest Cookbook, which is available through the church or online at Mack’s Prairie Wings.
