The Rt. Rev. Frank Tracy Griswold III, 25th presiding bishop, preached at a memorial service for the Rt. Rev. Edmond L. Browning, his immediate predecessor in the office.

Bishop Browning’s two other successors also participated in the service on July 19 at Trinity Cathedral in Portland. The Rt. Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, 26th presiding bishop, led the post-communion prayer and the Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, 27th presiding bishop, pronounced the concluding blessing.
