Dane Neufeld to Lead Communion Partners Canada

Adapted from the newsletter of Communion Partners Canada

Communion Partners Canada elected the Rev. Dr. Dane Neufeld as its chairman on May 28.

Neufeld succeeds the Rev. Ajit John, who has served since 2021. John spearheaded the Legal Opinion project, worked to develop the Toronto chapter, and deepened the Canadian organization’s relationship with the international Communion Partners.

Neufeld has been rector of St. James, Calgary, since August 2020. He earned an M.Div. and a Th.D. from Wycliffe College. He is a contributor to Covenant, the online journal of The Living Church. He and his wife, Juanita, are parents to four children.

Communion Partners Canada says it “endeavors to be a rallying place for faithful Canadian Anglicans who want to see the Anglican Church of Canada embrace and live by the principles of its own constitution as set forth in the Solemn Declaration of 1893, and clarified in the Montreal Declaration of Anglican Essentials of 1994.”
