New: 8/4 TLC Online

The August 4 edition of The Living Church is available online to registered subscribers.

This issue includes coverage of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada, which elected a new primate, gave more autonomy to the church’s many Indigenous members, and fell short of approving same-sex marriage by the narrowest of margins.

Mark Michael is announced as the new editor of the magazine, and introduces himself with De terra veritas, the first of a series of columns.

Kirk Petersen reports that more dioceses are complying with the mandatory 15% assessment to the Church Center, and identifies which dioceses are not, and why. G. Jeffrey MacDonald examines the challenges of campus ministry. Eugene R. Schlesinger reviews three books that collectively describe the efforts of Presbyterians to make a compelling case for the Church.
