Nashotah House Theological Seminary has announced the search for its new dean and president, and the application deadline is tight. “For fullest consideration, application materials should be received by October 20,” said an announcement [PDF] on Nashotah’s website.
The Rt. Rev. Edward L. Salmon, the seminary’s dean and president, intends to serve until the conclusion of the 2014-15 academic year.
Both Nashotah House and Trinity School for Ministry bridge gaps between the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church in North America. An article [PDF] by the Rev. Edward T. Kelaher, chairman of the search committee, lists eight other committee members, including some leaders of the ACNA:

The Dean and President is the chief executive officer of Nashotah House. The roles entail responsibility for all operations of the seminary, its leadership and management, its academic mission, its spiritual mission, fundraising, allocation of its resources, personnel, and more. The Dean and President reports directly to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and serves under the authority of the Board of Trustees and its policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be an ordained member of the Anglican Communion who possesses a commitment and devotion to Jesus Christ, to the Christian faith, and to prayer and worship, all in accord with the Seminary’s Statement of Identity. The candidate will also possess an active and well-nurtured life in the Anglican Communion and a demonstrated record of accomplishment and success in administration. Ideally, the candidate will hold an advanced degree such as a PhD, ThD, or DMin. The new Dean and President will have the ability and commitment to lead Nashotah House dynamically and in harmony with its Statement of Institutional Purpose and its Strategic Plan. Such leadership will require skills and abilities in theological education, financial development, faculty and staff recruitment and oversight, public relations, and leadership development. The new Dean and President will serve as Ordinary of the seminary’s Chapel. Interpersonal skills, virtues of Christian faith, collaborative leadership, conflict resolution, integrity, humor, and humility will be vital to a successful tenure.
