Grace Cathedral’s 9th Dean

The Rev. Malcolm Clemens Young will become the ninth Dean of Grace Cathedral, San Francisco. The Rt. Rev. Marc Handley Andrus, Bishop of California, and Grace Cathedral’s board of trustees announced the decision May 12.

Young has served as rector of Christ Church in Los Altos since 2001. He is the author of The Spiritual Journal of Henry David Thoreau (Mercer University Press, 2009) and The Invisible Hand in the Wilderness: Economics, Ecology and God (Mercer, 2014).

The cathedral anticipates that Young will begin his work on Aug. 1.
