Scholar Esther de Waal will lecture on “Benedict as Prophet for Today” and “Benedictine Spirituality in the Local Parish” June 13 at Nashotah House Theological Seminary.

The Very Rev. Steven A. Peay, dean and president, will offer “An Introduction to St. Benedict” during a reception on the evening of June 12.

De Waal is the author of Seeking God: The Way of St. Benedict, Seeking Life: The Baptismal Invitation of the Rule of St. Benedict, and Lost in Wonder: Rediscovering the Spiritual Art of Attentiveness. She founded Benedictine Experience retreats that meet throughout the United States and England.
