Canon Hunn Joins N.C. Slate

The Rev. Canon Michael Hunn, canon to the presiding bishop for ministry within the Episcopal Church, is one of two nominees by petition in the Diocese of North Carolina.

The other nominee by petition is the Rev. George Adamik, rector of St. Paul’s Church in Cary, North Carolina.

The diocese is seeking its 12th bishop, who will succeed Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. Two other nominees, announced Nov. 21, are:

The diocese will elect the new bishop March 4 during a one-day convention in Greensboro.

The Rev. Milind Sojwal, rector of All Angels’ Church in Manhattan, withdrew from the slate in mid-December.
