Archbishop Beach Adds Deans

The new archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America has appointed three new deans in addition to Bishop Ray Sutton, the one dean he inherited.

“While the other deans are not required by the canons, these deans will advise and assist me, acting on my behalf with authority delegated by me,” Archbishop Foley Beach wrote in announcing their appointments.

The deans are

  • The Rt. Rev. Terrell Glenn, dean of college affairs for the ACNA’s College of Bishops
  • The Rt. Rev. John Guernsey, dean of provincial affairs
  • The Rt. Rev. Bill Atwood, dean of international affairs
  • The Rt. Rev. Ray Sutton, dean of ecumenical affairs

Foley also announced that the Rt. Rev. Don Harvey will serve as the senior chaplain for the College of Bishops, assisted by the Rt. Rev. Dave Bena and the Rt. Rev. Keith Ackerman.
