12th Covenant Affirmation

Adapted from Anglican Communion News Service

The Anglican Church of Melanesia has announced its adoption of the Anglican Communion Covenant.

The Most Rev. David Vunagi, primate of the church, wrote to the  Secretary General of the Anglican Communion that the province adopted the Covenant during its General Synod. The synod met November 8-14 at the Melanesian Haus in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Melanesia is the 12th province to adopt or subscribe to the Covenant. The Anglican Communion Office keeps a tally of such responses on this page.
