Heather Cross is a cradle Episcopalian who was raised in the Detroit area. She received her BA from Harvard in History and Literature, and for ten years she taught at Friends Seminary in NYC. She now tutors middle and high school students while pursuing a writing career in both fiction and non-fiction. She has published two novels, Wilberforce (FSG 2015) and Grievous (FSG 2019), both set in a churchy English boarding school. She lives in Brooklyn.
