Who taught the Word first to speak?

Who first washed the Savior’s feet?

As swaddled infant and crucified King

He felt the Father’s bosom on Blessed Mother’s breast.

 

In heavenly word in Jordan’s water:

“You are my Son and I love you,”

Is heard the latter echo of Mary’s coos,

The voice first heard in the waters of her womb
