POSITIONS OFFERED: Interim Priest, St. Philip’s, Joplin, MO


St. Philip’s is seeking an interim priest who can serve from February 2022 through the calling of a new Rector. We anticipate this being a 2-3 year process. We are seeking a priest who is a dynamic preacher, encourager of the lay ministry, and is trained in transitional ministry. St. Philip’s was build in 1908. It is known for its beautiful architecture and stained glass windows. During the Covid-19 shutdown the church and parish hall went through extensive restorations and renovations to update and preserve it for future  generations. Joplin Missouri is a city of approximately 50,000 residents located in southwest Missouri. Joplin is the trade center for the area and has a daytime population of 240,000.  The population within a 40 mile radius of Joplin is 400,000, making it Missouri’s 4th largest metropolitan area.
