The Rev. Gayle Fisher-Stewart will be the featured speaker as the Diocese of Southern Ohio celebrates the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

“Becoming the Beloved Community in the Midst of Fear, Injustice and Incivility” will begin at 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at Trinity Church on Capitol Square, 125 E. Broad Street, Columbus.

Fisher-Stewart is associate rector of Calvary Church, Washington, D.C. She is also the founder of the Center for the Study of Faith in Justice, an independent nonprofit agency of Calvary Episcopal Church.

Before her call to ordained ministry, she was a police officer, consultant to law-enforcement agencies, and university-level teacher of criminal justice.
