The Diocese of Haiti’s electing convention will vote in a runoff for bishop coadjutor on June 2.

The convention voted for the first time on May 17, in a chaotic meeting described by the Ven. J. Fritz Bazin, archdeacon for immigration and social justice in the Diocese of Southeast Florida.

The runoff is between the Rev. Joseph Kerwin Delicat and the Rev. Noah Bernier. A third nominee, the Rev. Samuel St. Louis, received only one vote in each of five ballots, Bazin’s notes said.

The Rev. Canon Mark Harris, writing on his weblog, Preludium, published Bazin’s notes with his permission on May 24.
