The Bishop of Long Island has appointed two staff members of the George Mercer, Jr., Memorial School of Theology to newly created co-director positions.
Diane Muscarella, who has been serving and administrator and registrar, is the school’s director of operations. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and has worked for the diocese for 19 years.
F.W. (Ted) Gerbracht is director of academic programs. He has taught at the Mercer School for more than a decade, with a special interest in Anglican reform movements in English and North American history.
The Rt. Rev. Lawrence C. Provenzano has been restructuring the mission and ministries of the diocese for greater coordination and effectiveness. He said these new appointments will enhance Mercer’s ability to serve the cathedral and the diocese by deepening resources the diocese offers to lay and clergy for their service to parishes and communities.
