Trinity School for Ministry has appointed the Rev. David Ney as its new assistant professor of church history.

Ney’s area of research is the relationship between science and the Bible in the Church of England during the 18th century.

Ney received his doctorate in theology from Wycliffe College in Toronto. He is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Canada and is curate at St. Peter’s Church in Calgary, Alberta. He is a writer for TLC’s weblog, Covenant.

He will join the Trinity faculty on Aug. 1 for the fall semester. Ney will be joined by his wife, Jamie, a staff worker for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and their four children.

The board of trustees ratified the call to after a unanimous vote of the faculty in May.
