The Brotherhood of St. Andrew will sponsor a ministry fair June 12 in Philadelphia.

“To bring more men to Jesus Christ, we must understand their spiritual needs,” said Robby Gerber, one of the ministry fair’s organizers. “To stay relevant in today’s world and to remain the foremost ministry in the Episcopal Church, we must be prepared to provide the tools needed by our men in the field.”

The ministry fair will begin with Holy Communion at 8 a.m. Speakers include:

  • Dave Armstrong of Man in the Mirror Ministries on “Discipleship Opportunities For Today”
  • Bill Stevens of Family Life on “Manning Up 21st Century Blended Families: How to be a Dad”
  • The Rev. Robert Certain on “Veteran-Friendly Congregations”
  • Roy Benavides, president of Brotherhood Province VII, on “Using Social Media to Reach Young Men”
  • Edwin S. Davis, board chairman of the Texas Restorative Justice Network, on “Helping Incarcerated Men and Their Families”
  • Joel Hesch, founder of Proven Men Ministries, on “Helping Men Addicted to Pornography”
  • Lonce Scott of the Boy Scouts Cradle of Liberty on “Scouting Troops and Camps”

“We live in a world full of fatherless and homeless youth, blended families, pornography and addictions,” Brother Gerber says. “There are many real-life ministry opportunities for all our Brothers.”
