Calif. Parish Helps Liberia

The Rev. Deacon Dan Boeger writes for the Diocese of Northern California:

In response to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) of 2014, a grant of $3,000 was awarded to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Gridley to assist with an anti-Ebola campaign in Liberia.

Specifically, the MDG grant money that was sent to Liberia was used to purchase and deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as aprons, gloves, goggles and Clorox disinfectant for fighting Ebola.

… By this very early effort, absolutely zero cases of Ebola occurred in Panta District of Bong County, in spite of Ebola cases and Ebola deaths to the north, south, east and west of Panta District. This area of the Panta District is a rain forest with 26 villages and about 70,000 villagers.
