General Theological Seminary’s board of trustees has invited eight dismissed faculty members to a private meeting on October 16.
In a letter published by the seminary, the Rt. Rev. Mark Sisk, board chairman, writes that the meeting’s date is flexible.
He adds: “It must be understood and agreed beforehand by all involved that this is a wholly confidential meeting, off the record, and no one involved will make use of anything said at it. We would prefer that the meeting be without counsel for any party present.”
The complete letter follows.
