The Diocese of Fond du Lac will accept nominations beginning April 15 in its search for the diocese’s eighth bishop. The diocese has released a 32-page profile.
“We value our Anglo-Catholic heritage reflected in our liturgy,” the profile says. “This may be expressed in traditional, contemporary or blended worship styles, a variety of which can be found throughout the diocese. There is a focus on the Holy Eucharist, the Sacraments and the Gospel. We desire to have the Eucharist celebrated in congregations every week, but the reality is a few congregations do not have the resources for this to happen.”
The Rt. Rev. Russell Edward Jacobus has served as seventh Bishop of Fond du Lac since 1994. The election is scheduled for Oct. 19 at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Fond du Lac.
