Uniting for the Poor
  • Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Vatican Radio reports that English Cardinal Vincent Nichols and the Archbishop of Canterbury have launched a joint initiative that encourages their flocks to pray and work together in service of the poorest and most vulnerable people in their parishes.

On Sunday the leaders visited a project in London run by the Catholic Worker Movement. On Palm Sunday they will travel together to Kent on England’s South coast to visit a family care centre supported by the Diocese of Canterbury.

Read the rest and listen to Philippa Hitchen’s interview [MP3 or Real] with Cardinal Nichols.
