Jon Adamson lives in rural Cass County, Michigan, just north of the state line from Indiana with his wife, Hollie, and their two sons, Benjamin and William. His work experience is primarily in the construction trades, but he was hired to serve on the staff of the Diocese of Northern Indiana as the Secretary to the Bishop in 2007 and was made the Diocesan Administrator in 2011.
His maternal grandparents are Roman Catholic and his paternal grandmother is Episcopalian and they live nearby. Having worshiped alongside them in both traditions, he credits them as providing the compass of his spiritual formation. He and his family are members of the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Matthew in South Bend, Indiana.
His recent interests include congregational development, the Rule of St. Benedict, and various Patristic works. He enjoys reading G.K. Chesterton, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Dorothy Sayers, Walker Percy, and John Behr. The writings of Mary Reed Newland have greatly assisted his family in their homeschooling and domestic church activities. They are members of Catholic Homeschoolers of Michiana and Jon serves as its treasurer.
