Fr. Will Brown was born again by water and the Spirit at St. George’s Episcopal Church on Easter Eve, 1979, in Griffin, Georgia, where he went on to spend a wonderful childhood. He was an undergraduate at Sewanee, where he discerned a vocation to the priesthood. He spent a year as a Thomas J. Watson Fellow, living with Christian monks and nuns in Europe, Africa, and the South Pacific. He earned an M.Div. and an STM at Yale Divinity School, and was ordained priest in the Diocese of Georgia in 2005. He served for two years at the Episcopal Church at Yale before moving to the Diocese of Dallas, where he is rector of the Church of the Holy Cross. His interests include philosophy, poetry, and ascetical theology. Fr. Brown is a priest of the Society of the Holy Cross, a disciple of René Girard, and the beleaguered master of a Vizsla puppy. When he is not fishing for men, he enjoys fishing for fish.
