Andrew Petiprin is a priest of the Diocese of Central Florida and Rector of St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church in his hometown of Orlando. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was a Marshall Scholar at Magdalen College, Oxford, from 2001 to 2003, during which time he earned an M.Phil. in European Literature and began pursuing his vocation to the priesthood.
Fr. Andrew spent a year in London as a pastoral assistant before returning to Florida to teach high school French and German. He trained for ordination at Yale Divinity School and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and was ordained to the diaconate and the priesthood in 2010. Fr. Andrew and his wife, Amber, are the parents of two young children, Alexander and Aimee.
He enjoys exercise, cinema, and re-reading his favorite books, among them the Lord of the Rings series and The Brothers Karamazov. His amateur scholarly interests lie in the study of patristics, religion and literature, and questions of Christianity and culture.
